Brush Cutting, Light Land Clearing & Light Tree Removal
Overgrowth takes ground away a little at a time. Clearing takes it back — brush, briars, vines, saplings and small trees.
Overview
This is light clearing work: brush cutting, understory removal, and light tree removal on residential and small commercial properties. It is the right service for reclaiming a back section, opening a fence line, or getting a neglected lot back under control.
Being clear about scope matters. Light clearing handles brush, briars, vines, saplings and small trees. Large-diameter timber, trees over structures, and full site stripping are different work with different equipment, and we will tell you when a project falls outside what we do.
Cleared material can be mulched in place, piled on site, or hauled away depending on the property and what you want the finished area to look like.
Common Reasons Property Owners Need This Service
Overgrown lots and back sections
Ground you have stopped using because you cannot get through it.
Fence lines and property boundaries
Clearing a working strip so a fence can be built, repaired, or maintained.
Brush against structures
Growth crowding a house, shed, or outbuilding holds moisture and pests.
Preparing for grading or building
Vegetation has to come off before dirt work can start.
Vacant property maintenance
Keeping an unoccupied lot from becoming a code or liability problem.
What a Project May Involve
- 1Walk the property, agree on boundaries and what stays standing.
- 2Identify hazards — wells, septic, lines, stumps, wire and debris hidden in growth.
- 3Cut and clear in sections, working around anything being retained.
- 4Handle material by mulching, piling, or hauling as agreed.
- 5Leave a defined edge and discuss whether grading or seeding should follow.

Questions
Brush Cutting, Light Land Clearing & Light Tree Removal — Questions
- What size properties can be cleared?
- Everything from a section of a residential lot up to small acreage. Access, terrain and how heavy the growth is matter more than raw size.
- What counts as light tree removal?
- Smaller trees and saplings in open areas where they can be dropped and handled safely. Large trees, or anything leaning over a structure or power line, is tree-service work.
- Where does the cleared material go?
- It can be mulched in place, stacked in a pile on site, or hauled off. Hauling is priced with the clearing.
- Do you remove stumps?
- Stump removal is excavation work and quoted separately. Clearing generally cuts low rather than extracting root systems.
- Should I clear or mulch?
- If you want the material gone, clearing with hauling makes sense. If you want a finished-looking ground surface without piles, forestry mulching is usually better.
- Can you clear near a septic field or well?
- Yes, with the locations marked. Point them out before work starts so equipment stays clear.
